The adventure begins early, at 5:00 a.m., this tour is a transfer day with few visits, continuing by bus until we reach the Malaga Pass (Approx. 3 hrs), arriving here we will have breakfast in a rustic and typical place of the area.

We will continue downhill to the Valley of La Convencion, with necessary stops to take pictures and some shopping. We resume ascent by bus through the Vilcabamba Valley until we reach the town of Huancacalle, here we will visit for about 2 hours through the archaeological remains of VITCOS, after the tour we will have lunch, followed by a rest time in the town.

We resume the trip by bus on a road with little traffic for 1.30hr, until we reach our first camp in Punta Carretera.

After breakfast, we will start our hike at 7:00 a.m. following an ascent trail that will lead us to the first great challenge of the route. This section will allow us to travel part of the ancestral Inca Trail, with more than six centuries of history and a unique cultural legacy.

The ascent to the First Pass of Choquetacarpo takes approximately 4 hours, reaching an altitude of 4,600 m (15,180 ft). From the top, we will enjoy panoramic views of the mountain range before starting the descent into the valley. In this privileged environment, we will have a well-deserved lunch surrounded by Andean landscapes of great beauty.

In the afternoon, we will continue the trek until we reach the Quellkamachay Camp (3,587 m / 11,837 ft), nestled between rocky mountains that offer a serene and majestic atmosphere for our second overnight stay.

After an early breakfast at the camp, we will start the hike at 7:00 a.m. following the course of the river for approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes. Subsequently, we will take an uphill trail that will lead us to the Mayuyoc Pass (4,277 m / 14,114 ft), in a journey of around 3 hours. From this point, spectacular views of the mountain range open up, a scenario that rewards the effort of the ascent.

After a short drive, we will arrive at the camp where lunch prepared by our team awaits us. After a restful rest, we will resume the hike descending towards the Mayuyoc Valley, where our camp is located to spend the night in a natural environment of great serenity.

We leave the camp at 7.00am after breakfast, starting our hike with a descent of half an hour, then we will ascend in the direction of the Pacchayoc Pass 4,030m - 13,299ft for around 1.30hr, there we will have a long break to enjoy the view of the first glaciers.

After the Pass, we continue along a long descent, to the Pacchayoc esplanade, where we will have another break for a snack.

The next tour is crossing the Pumasillo River, this section does not have much difficulty for a time of 2.30 hrs, where we will make the final camp for lunch and overnight.

For passengers who still have energy, you can do a 1.30hr uphill hike extension by 1hr descent to visit the Azulcocha Lagoon.

The day begins early, descending from the camp along a path that follows the course of the river until we reach the Pacchacoy Valley, where we will enjoy a well-deserved rest accompanied by panoramic views of the mountain range.

After the break, we will start the ascent to the Yanama Pass (4,170 m / 13,700 ft), in a journey of approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes. From the top, an imposing landscape unfolds that marks one of the most memorable moments of the expedition. Afterwards, we will descend for 1 hour and 30 minutes to the village of Yanama, where lunch and an emotional farewell with the assistance team await us.

In the afternoon, we will embark on a bus transfer of approximately 4 hours to the town of Santa Teresa. There we will spend the night and enjoy a restful rest in the famous Thermal Baths of Cocalmayo, a perfect closure to a demanding day.

At 6:00 a.m. we will depart by bus for 40 minutes to the Hidroeléctrica train station, from where we will transfer to the town of Aguas Calientes, gateway to the world wonder of Machu Picchu.

The visit to the Inca citadel will be made in a guided tour of approximately 4 hours, with ascent and descent by bus. During this time we will explore the main archaeological sectors, admiring the architectural perfection and deep spiritual symbolism of this historic sanctuary.

At the end of the visit, we will return to Aguas Calientes to enjoy lunch at a local restaurant. Later, we will board the train back to Ollantaytambo, where our bus transport awaits us for the final return to the city of Cusco.
